ADS Designers Zoo Spirit Collab Kit is here!!!

Yippee! It's finally here! Grab my contribution to the collab kit and move on down the train. There's lots of great things here from many very talented designers. Hope you enjoy it and make sure you check out some of my other freebies too. Also, I'm planning on having an add-on to the Zoo Spirit kit later next week so be sure to check back!

Also, thanks so much for all the great comments about my street signs. (I got lots of warm fuzzies from them!) I received several requests for other cities. Some of them I've never been to before and don't know the popular tourist streets. I have plenty names for NYC and DC and I'll get those out soon. If you had other requests, email me and I'll be happy to get those together.

Here's my preview with the link below.

A Guest Designer!

I've gotten my Mom interested in designing digital stuff and she's addicted I believe! LOL! (Hi, Mom! -- she's the one person I know will read my blog. ) Anyway, here's her designing debut...a beautiful butterfly. Leave some comments if you would like to see a series in different colors! (We'll make sure she's good and hooked on this designing thing!)

Everyday Things

I was working on a layout the other day and came up with the idea of making a street sign as an embellishment. I thought it turned out pretty well so I decided to make a bunch as freebies. I just did well known street names for Los Angeles and San Francisco. If I get a good response I can do some for other cities since I think they make great vacation embellishments. Let me know if you like them and if you want to see more! Here they are and the link is below.

Blinging My Blog

Well, I've spent a little time putting some new things on my blog recently. Giving it some "bling" so to speak. (is that still the current lingo?) I've added a new slideshow of my layouts and a blog roll for the wonderful designing group I've joined. The blog roll will be an easy way to make sure you get all the parts of the our collaboration kit that's coming out on August 1st.
So take a few minutes and check things out!

Rooney's Birthday Elements

Well, the parties are over and most of the clean up is done. My house now has a few hundred more legos, a couple of trucks, boardgames, and miscellaneous toys. Now just to find room for it all. :)

Anyway, I had a few minutes while the house was quiet to get the elements together for the Rooney bday papers I sent out the other day. Hope you can use these for some great boy pages.

Let me know if you like them and have a great weekend!

Growing Up

Well, tonight's my last night to have a 6 yr old in my house. My youngest turns 7 tomorrow. There are some things that I hope he out grows soon and others that I hope never got away - like how much of a love bug he is! In honor of his 7th birthday with a Monster Truck theme, I've come up with a small freebie kit. I've only got the papers ready to go for tonight but I've got some cute elements to go with it. I hope to have those out this weekend. We are partying tomorrow and Saturday so it will be busy!

Busy Working...

I was hoping to be able to provide a freebie everyweek but I'm not sure I'll get one out this week or not. I have been busy working on a collab kit with a fabulous group of ladies at ADSDesigners. It's due out on August 1st and it will be HUGE. We currently have over 45 different designers signed up to contribute to this kit. Some of the previews I've seen are awesome - there's a whole lot of talent in this group. Definitely something to appeal to everyone's taste. I'm just thrilled to be a part of it. So start clearing off some hard drive space because you'll want to go through the whole list of blogs that will be published on August 1.

Practice Makes Freebies!

Hopefully everyone had a nice weekend. Ours was busy as usual but I've come to accept the fact that this is just the pace we live our family life. Sometimes it's crazy and hectic and absolutely drives me nuts but it keeps things interesting. It's a good life - I can't complain!

I did manage to find some time to play with my digi stuff. I've been trying out all sorts of new techniques to enhance my designing skills. Over the weekend I worked on learning how to make repeating geometric patterns. Now I need to work on more complicated designs - slowly I'll get there.

So here's a personal use freebie for you of 6 geometric patterns and 6 matching solids. Any constructive criticism is always appreciated. Also, special thanks to Kimberly of the ADS Designers Yahoo Group. She provided the photo that created the wonderful grungy texture to my papers. Thanks Kimberly!

My First Freebie

Just a little something to get my feet wet with offering freebies. I've learned so much in the last couple of weeks. Who knew there would be so much to cover - blogger, HTML, 4shared, file compression. It really makes me appreciate all the wonderful designers out there who are dedicated to bringing us great products on a consistent basis. Make sure you thank your favorite designers for their hard work! They deserve it 'cause it's a lot harder than it looks.

Anyway, here's a little Fourth of July bow that I had hanging around here. Be kind if I messed this up in any way but constructive criticism is most appreciated! That's the only way I'll get any better. :)

Here's your freebie bow. Hope you like it!
